The DEVIL and Raggedy Ann

rag.jpg

Watching Beyond the Unknown, and wonder why, once again, The Devil major arcana tarot card is used to denote evil  eeeeeville. Haunted doll, the cause of negative and fatal energies, causes death, ends its days locked up in a cabinet in the Warren’s Occult Museum. For some reason, there is the Devil card tacked up on the cabinet that holds this cursed doll.

I have no doubt an object can hold negative energy; be haunted and cause all kinds of havoc. Misunderstanding and misinterpreting the use and meaning of the tarot, including The Devil devilcard.jpg card, is a lazy trope used in our culture.

The Bitchy Witch Tarot Queen

tumblr_mr6op3RKss1qcjxspo1_1280-335x500.jpg

This came from left field. The only trigger I can think of is that earlier yesterday I cleared off my altar; kept it simple this time with a plant, Buddha lamp, and one of my  tarot decks (Deviant Moon.)

There’s a woman who is quite the pagan leader here, locally. Everyone in the pagan-witchy community knows her, or of her. Some respect her quite a bit, others, like myself, thinks she’s, well, I don’ think much. Used to go to some of her meetings. Feh.

So I dreamt last night, I attend a workshop she’s giving. About a hundred people in attendance. A small, bowl shaped auditorium. She’s in the middle, giving a talk on the tarot. Something about the court cards, specifically, the King and Queen. (the suite didn’t matter, any of the Kings and Queens.)

I ask a question. My intentions are absolutely sincere; all I want to know is… I don’t remember the question now, but in the dream, it had something to do with how to interpret the meaning of the court cards.

For whatever reason, and to my confusion, the Bitchy Witch Tarot Queen becomes extremely rude. Answers my question with sarcasm, meanness, and then, tells me to get out! Yells at me to leave, and, to never, every, come back. She will, she tells me, get a court order (heh) or whatever it takes, to ensure that I never come near her, or anything she’s involved in.

Her reaction really disturbs me. What is wrong with this person?!  The a voice tells me to write a letter, or a blog post, about her. Her rudeness, the bizarre thing her and her co-bitch-witch did to me over my volunteering, etc. And so I write this. And as I’m doing so, the voice keeps reminding me of other episodes. Then I wake up. Or so I think; I realize, after reading the letter, that I’m still asleep.

Alien Grey as The Chariot

Among my many blogs, is Orange Orb Tarot. One of many hats I wear: tarot reader. I posted the following at my tarot blog a year or so ago:

Another area of passion and interest of mine,  (see my blog OrangeOrbTarot) aside from the UFO, paranormal realm, is the tarot. I was searching for various decks, since I collect them as most readers do. I have several tarot and oracle decks and came across this image from the Bifrost tarot deck.

This is a Major Arcana card — specifically, The Chariot — from theBifrost tarot deck. There is a distinctive alien grey ET figure, floating in outer space, giving the peace sign.

According to the deck’s creator, the meaning of this Major Arcana card The Chariot is:

The Chariot of the information age is the mind.  This is symbolized by both the flying saucer behind the Roswell alien’s eyes and the magic carpet at his seat.  The blood in his grail and the strand of DNA show that no matter where he travels, he will always find himself. [Tarotsmith.net/bifrostTarot]

The flying saucer is in the place of the third eye. The location is specific: Roswell.  The alien is peace loving, since he/she/it/gender neutral alien is flashing the peace sign. And, the ET is on a magic flying carpet, floating out there in the starry void.

What to make of this?

Assumptions that ET, as ‘the grey’ is a good vibe, well meaning, peaceful hippie alien. All is groovy and cosmic, flying around on the magic carpet.

Traditional, The Chariot, Waite-Coleman-Rider deck

Traditionally, The Chariot is depcited as having stars above (hence the alien I suppose) which represents the influences of the stars in this card. There is also the crescent moon. The wings have to do with Hinduism — the Bifrost tarot interprets this image using the third eye.

There are actually a few tarot decks that use aliens  as symbols. I don’t know how I feel about using a deck with this image, for myself, it seems too strange. In one sense, accessing memories of UFO encounters as a sort of tarot card reading, in order to make sense out of what happened, is useful. I try to do this for myself at times. But I don’t know about integrating both. However, it’s not a judgement. Each of us uses whatever decks feel right at the time. I’ve had decks that I’ve used before passing them on to others, decks I don’t use for readings but appreciate for other reasons, and so on.

It would be interesting to do a study on readers who have also had UFO experiences using decks with alien motifs. What would that conjure up?

My Psychic Dream Adventures

Two dreams recently — one last night — where I am “called in” as a psychic in order to figure out what’s go

ing on. Don’t remember much about the first dream, just that it involved me as a physic and the tarot, but last night’s dream was a doozy.

third eye tri.jpg

Small coastal town, somewhat of a tourist type place but somehow off the grid, with a population of about 300 during the off season, to a population of 3,000 during tourist season. The whole place has an Alpine look and feel, even though it’s right on the coast.

The mayor and a few town important ones come to get me. They don’t tell me anything about why they want me to investigate, or where I’m going. I get there; it’s very quiet. The off season.  I begin to feel energy, vibes, before I get out of the car. I say “This is bad. Very bad.”  Something to do with Nazis. Not from the past, but now.  I tell them they have to get rid of this, and NOW!

Then they take me to a tropical island type place in this town. Very different from the rest of the place. I tell the people this is haunted as well, still with all this bad Nazi energy, but also other, older things from the past.  Much of it good, actually, but neglected and forgotten.  Even though getting to the island is easy; really just have to wade a few yards across shallow water, no one’s bothered. Too ignorant and afraid.

I’m as surprised as anyone that I am physic and that they know about me, but I seem to know what I’m doing. I call upon the island entities to come and help.

I was recently interviewed by Jeremy Vaeni for his podcast The Experience. It was great fun! One of the comments left was interesting — I will be discussing that later.

Mermaid Archangel Dream

(cross posted on my Orange Orb Tarot blog)

Had an interesting dream the other night, involving a family of another country and culture (true; I really know these people but not listing those details here) but, in this dream, involving music, dance and drumming, among other things, the following:

I’m in the room with this family, and lots of other people as well. Up on a little platform, is a long table with a dark haired (long dark hair) woman (around 40? maybe 50) who is reading from a deck. I assume it’s a tarot deck, but can’t get close enough to see. The backs of the cards are beautiful; greens and blues, mermaids.

I can’t hear the woman too well; can’t tell if it’s a traditional tarot deck or an oracle deck. I notice the woman doesn’t have any clients; she just starts reading out loud to no one. Is she giving the whole room a reading? Reading to someone invisible? I still can’t see the deck up close. I want to, because it’s so beautiful, from the backs. I’m all about mermaids! But I’m confused as to the nature of the reading. Also, I realize I don’t much like her. I don’t like her style; she seems almost rude, and very loud. Not my approach.

Yet after awhile, I realize what she’s saying is more important than the way she’s saying it. And, with a sudden awareness, I just know that she’s more than human, if she’s really human at all. She’s an archangel! She’s a mermaid archangel.

When I understand this, I feel better. I’m awed, actually. And I realize her reading to the room is for anyone out here who cares to listen. It makes sense now. It’s not important that I don’t dig her style; it’s not about that.
I want this deck!
