Sea Poems

princess sea.jpg

Feeling my Pisces self today, so here are some watery poems, haiku and others, I’ve written over the years.

the jellyfish, soft

we talk about consciousness

white-pink minds floating

mermaid blue

my summer

streak

a green octopus

watches from its oblong tank

acute awareness

a mermaid tattoo

on the arm

why not

inside her belly

the blind fish

dance

jellyfish in transparent tubes

pink streams floating

are they conscious? she asks

Found Poem

I like playing around with the found poem structure, though I don’t stick to the “pure found poem” style, which doesn’t allow for any rearranging of text. Here’s a brief definition of a found poem from the  poets.org site:

Found poems take existing texts and refashion them, reorder them, and present them as poems. The literary equivalent of a collage, found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems.

which harbor huge sea urchins

the worst is yet to come

Area 51: Seriously, Are They Serious?

area51pixabay.jpg

Okay, who else here in UFO Land thinks the ‘storming of Area 51’ is not simply a stupid insane ridiculous ass-hat-clown-shoe-dumb-as-fuck-all idea, but an idea intentionally created by “them.” (You know,  “them” being the shadow government, cabal, global Reptilian Overlords. Those them.)

I cannot accept the thought that a handful of nerdy saucer heads seriously got together and thought of this all on their own, thinking that such converging upon Area 51 would be a good idea, an action that will somehow force the hand of “them” to reveal to the rest of us Full Disclosure.

This whole silly idea had to have been the creation of good old fashioned dis-information agents. Old school, spy vs. spy, MIB on your doorstep, monkey wrench in the works stuff. Once the agencies did their job, the dupes happily followed. Those waiting for FD (full disclosure), those who naively think the government will ever come clean regarding UFOs and related topics, are eager to camp out at Area 51. Do they really think they’re doing something important?

I am always uneasy with false comparisons – – if you’re for animal rights, somehow that means you’re not for human rights. It’s a cheap and unfair accusation. But in this case, I think it’s fair. So much wrong in our country, led by the POTUS, that fried cheese head of a worm, and instead, some people are going to ‘make a stand’ at Area 51.

This of course will make the news all over the nation, the silly factor on the local news channel at the end of the broadcast. No one takes UFOs seriously anyway, not much, outside of us here in UFO Land. This whole Area 51 nonsense ensures that mainstream culture continues to think of interest in UFOs (if they’re thinking of them at all) as shallow and non-productive.

Cheeto-in-Charge on UFOs

. Recently George Stephanopoulos asked the POTUS if  he “had heard of any reports of extraterrestrial life:” Cheeto-in-Charge responded thusly:

“I think our great pilots would know,” he said. “And some of them see things a little bit different from the past. We’re watching, and you’ll be the first to know.”

More here.

Really, nothing to say here about this. I mean . . . we just can’t . . . it simply is too damn crazy.

Sexy Lesbian UFO Spy Stuff

I’m not going to review Project Bluebook, (not much) because I only saw the first two episodes. I enjoyed ACTOR’S NAME and the production is very good, but I’m with the camp who are upset over the inaccuracies. They seem to be so . . . intentional.

One thing that has me curious, is the Russian lesbian spy angle. Further attempts by the Russians to get at  U.S. flying saucer secrets  include a red-lipsticked blonde lesbian spy trying to seduce innocent Mrs. Hynek.

Are we serious here! Straight out of 1950s pulp fiction.  As if UFOs, government conspiracies, heavy handed thugs, looming monsters, and MIB aren’t enough, throw in a femme fatale and lesbian luring the innocent.

I’m not sure what the point here is with that. Pure exploitive titilation for its own sake I guess.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, by the way. Except it isn’t accurate, in the context of Hynek. Why present this story with so much crap to muddle things? Were the producers worried the culture is bored with UFOs and needed more? Why the Flatwoods Monster as mutant tree instead of what was actually reported? And so on.

Cartoons From the Past

Clearing off a few shelves to make room for more books and vinyl (Santa brought us a new turntable) I came across a folder of cartoons I did decades ago. Just silly things. I did a few of a character I came up with; Pongo, the Neurotic Dog. (The quality is awful, I know, not much I can do with a built in Mac camera.)

Pongobyreganlee.jpg

I don’t remember if I was aware of it at the time, but “Pongo sees his first UFO” is dated 1954, the year I was born. And a lifetime of UFO and related experiences ever since.

Another silly one, about the great Cosmic nature of it all:

Moon in Gemini, never a good thing for us Pisces:

And finally, beware the Radio Active Cows. Maybe that’s why the aliens are abducting them.

“As Ancient Astronaut Theorists Believe… “

Well, as an “ancient astronaut theorist” fan, I take exception.

The History channel’s Ancient Aliens program loves to invoke variations of the following:

“As Ancient Alien theorists believe…” as if all of us who accept that aliens from literal eons ago planted us here, or, messed with us, or, … well, there are endless possibilities. The point is, yes, aliens, as well as ultra-terrestrials and  — who knows what all non-human else —  had their way with us. This belief does not mean that I accept every answer/theory/opinion/belief put forth by the pundits on Ancient Aliens.

Some of those pundits are thoughtful, and simply offering up ideas and speculations. Others are intoning theories as facts. And, one of my personal pet peeves in all aspects of my life — regardless of the hat I may be wearing at the time —  being included in something I had no say in. As in, for example, work. “Well, we agree that staff should, from now on…”  Excuse me, “we?”  I don’t recall being asked, and I certainly don’t fucking agree. Passive aggressive manipulative tactic, that.

So, while I do believe the aliens have been around, and in fact, responsible, for the us that is now us, I also don’t believe every damn theory that comes along. And while aliens, as in from outer space, literal ETs, there are also entities about and afoot that are from right here. Within earth, parallel to us, co-existing in some sort of near-by dimension, and outer space has nothing to do with it. The two (or three or eleventh-hundred) exist at the same time, all playing their particular game.

Ancient Aliens: Mystery at Rudloe Manor

Little update: After posting this, saw on Facebook from friend and UFO scholar Scott Santa, that Ancient Aliens didn’t discover this — the existence of Rudloe Manor has been known for a long time. Timothy Good, author of Above Top Secret, addressed this years ago. A book that I’ve read, of course, but many years ago, and clearly, forgot all about it.  Still, it was a good episode for those who have not read Good’s book, or, who simply suffer from occasional bouts of senior-moment brain.

Last night’s episode of Ancient Aliens:The Mystery of Rudloe Manor was pretty good. Nice to see an Ancient Aliens where there wasn’t a rehashing of the already rehashed ‘aliens from millions of years ago had seeded us’ … not that I don’t believe that, I do, (yes, I do) (in part) but enough already.

Refreshing and surprising. I hadn’t known of the underground chambers in Wiltshire, England at Rudloe Manor. From the Ancient Aliens site, a bit from the blurb:

In the southwest corner of the Wiltshire, England countryside lies the mysterious structure known as Rudloe Manor. On the surface, it appears to be nothing more than a quaint English manor house, but researchers have argued for years that it has been the epicenter of British research into UFOs since World War II. British Ministry of Defence (MOD) insiders claim that an astounding 2.2 million square feet of vast caverns divided into many smaller chambers lie buried underneath Rudloe Manor (Ancient Aliens)

Watching the program last night, it seemed to me a safe theory to suggest that crop circles are the work of some shadowy black ops faction. Not aliens, not earth fairies, not Doug and Dave. Not even mating hedgehogs. Many disagree with me on this including many a UFO researcher I respect. But I am still convinced that some governments — certainly including our own — have been manipulating technologies and energies of non-human origin for their own agendas.
